An award-winning design that works on the unarguable fact that squirrels are heavier than birds! This cleverly designed feeder is particularly large - weighing 1.5kg when unfilled and holding a generous 2.3kgs of food, meaning you will only need to fill it every so often. The weight of a squirrel or large bird on any of the perches closes the ports, so it can’t get at the food. This feeder is superbly engineered and features an optional perching ring.
When you receive your Squirrel Buster Plus, the factory tension will be set to 100g (with the optional perching ring fitted) so anything weighing over this wi9ll force the shroud to close over the feeding ports, but you can adjust this to the maximum setting of 150g to allow more of your favourite garden birds to enjoy the contents. (The average weight of an adult Grey Squirrel is 400-600g).
Hang it at least 0.5m (1.5ft) away from a pole, branch or tree, as squirrels may still be able to reach across and empty the contents without putting its weight on the feeder.
