2023 Charity Dog Show

Fundraiser for ProDogs Direct

Knights were delighted to be able to make a contribution of £320 to ProDogs Direct, the proceeds of our annual dog show. Many thanks to all who supported this event.

ProDogs Direct became a registered Charity in 2006. Prior to this they had been part of the national Charity ProDogs for about 10 years. When ProDogs closed it’s doors, they decided to keep ProDogs re-homing going, as they feel there is a need for dogs to be re-homed without going into kennels; hence the addition of ‘Direct’ to their name.

They often take puppies and dogs that might otherwise be put to sleep. This means that, before they can be re-homed, many of their dogs need extra medical care and TLC.

If you are interested in becoming a fosterer or, adopting, please go to their website for further details. https://prodogsdirect.org.uk

2023 - Our Fundraiser for the Caterham Foodbank

Pictured is Robin Gwynn, Project Manager for the Caterham Foodbank receiving a cheque from Janette Knight. Robin expressed a massive thank you to the management and customers of Knights for their continuing generosity and support. Caterham Foodbank is based in Caterham Baptist Church where it first opened nearly 10 years ago. Foodbank centres open during weekday lunchtimes each Monday at Oakhall Church (Caterham on the Hill), Wednesdays at King’s Church office in Oxted, and Thursdays at the Baptist Church (Caterham Valley), it is part of the national network of Trussell Trust Foodbanks. A voucher system is used for referrals by agencies and organisations in the community who know those in need.

Congratulations to Mr and Mrs Taylor from CR2 who won our 2023 garden furniture raffle and are pictured with their prize.
