August Tips

·         Deadhead delphiniums, peonies and other border perennials

·         Turn compost bins out to stop them becoming stale and compacted

·         Pick blueberries a few days after ripening for a stronger flavour

·         Buy or order winter and spring-flowering bulbs

·         Mow less frequently in hot, dry weather and top up the pond
